Registration Guidelines
Age Requirements
Minimum Age For sessional programs, students must meet the age requirement of their specific class by the session's start date. Unless specified as special programs, our standard programs are intended for ages 9 and older.
Drop-off and Pick-up The Art Foundry is not responsible for students outside of class times, including before, after, or during breaks between classes. Participants younger than 13 years must be accompanied to and collected from class by an adult listed on their authorized pick-up roster established during registration. Any modifications to this list or notification of unexpected delays should be communicated through the Contact Form on our website.
Class Policies
Registration Registration is mandatory for all participants attending classes at The Art Foundry. Attendance is recorded at each class's start. Full payment of all applicable program fees is required at the time of registration. Accepted payment methods include cheque, cash, or online payment through The Art Foundry website (VISA or MasterCard accepted). A $25 fee will be assessed for any returned cheques.
Refunds Students who are absent from class are not eligible for refunds. Missed classes do not qualify for refunds except when withdrawal is medically advised and occurs before the first class. In such cases, a prorated refund will be issued following submission of a physician's note.
Withdrawals All withdrawal requests must be submitted in written form. Simply not attending classes or leaving fees unpaid does not qualify as an official withdrawal. Withdrawals submitted after the first session will receive a prorated refund. For withdrawals due to medical reasons, a prorated refund will be provided upon receipt of a doctor's note. This policy remains in effect from registration through the program duration.
Class Cancellations The Art Foundry may cancel classes failing to reach minimum enrollment requirements, with notification provided one week before the scheduled start date. Minimum enrollment thresholds are determined by studio space and material resources. Should a class be cancelled, registered participants will receive email notification. Those affected by cancellations may transfer to an alternative class at no additional cost.
Make-up Sessions No make-up sessions are available for students who miss class. An exception may be granted if the same course is available with open seats within two months of the absence.
Media and Privacy
Photography and Marketing Use At registration, we seek parental consent to photograph and document student artwork created in the classroom. The Art Foundry may use these images for marketing purposes, including social media, email communications, and website content.

Health and Classroom Safety
Health and Safety We prioritize the wellbeing of our students, staff, and their families. We respectfully request that any participant experiencing symptoms consistent with cold, flu, or COVID-19—including fever, cough, breathing difficulties, sore throat, trouble swallowing, sneezing, or other symptoms identified by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the BC Ministry of Health, and BC Centre for Disease Control—remain at home to recover.
Conduct Policy The Art Foundry maintains the authority to dismiss any participant or parent who violates our policies or participates in behavior considered inconsistent with The Art Foundry's mission. Should this occur, the full session fees will remain due to The Art Foundry.
